I want to set up my Collegiate Mobile account with an eSIM. Where do I start?

Welcome to Collegiate Mobile. You are only few steps away to start your Collegiate Mobile Account.

Currently, we’ve deployed a new activation flow. However, there is a 50/50 chance that you may still see either the legacy or the new activation flow.

Below is the difference between the two flows. We’ve also provided two separate step-by-step guides you can follow, depending on which flow appears on your end.

Legacy Activation Flow

Step 1: Sign Up by visiting your school's Collegiate Mobile website. A full list is here.

  • From the website, select 'Sign In'. From there, choose whether you are a Student, Fan, or Employee, and you’ll be redirected to your portal to create your account.

Step 2: Let's Get Started

1. Choose your Plan

  • Select a plan under the plan section for Student, Employee and Fans

  • It's best to check the feature so you can choose the best plan fits for your needs

2. Choose your SIM

  • You'll be asked to choose your method of activation - either Physical SIM or eSIM. Since were activating through eSIM, choose eSIM

    • To check if your device is eSIM compatible - please refer to this article to check

3. Create your Account

  • Complete all the fields needed. This includes creating your email and password to the portal. Followed by your personal details.

    • This information will reflect on your portal once activated. You can modify details as needed on the portal

Important Reminder:

  • Note: For Student & Employee accounts - please make sure to use your university domain emails. This is part of the user verification process.

  • Fan Accounts can use their personal emails

  • Verify your email. Make sure that you verify first the account as activation won't start unless the email is fully verified

Step 3: Checkout & Payment

  • Proceed and complete the payment process. Once the payment is successful, the activation process will begin.

Step 4: Activation

I want to activate my eSIM with a NEW NUMBER


Step 1: Start Activation

  • Your dashboard will prompt to start activating your line - please click Start Activation

  • Confirm your service address. Please note that this must be a valid U.S. Address

Step 2: Get your Number

  • Choose "I'd like a new number"

  • Your new number will be generated.

  • System will ask to connect your device to proceed click "Continue to connect your device"

Step 3: Install eSIM

  • Prompt will ask whether the device is unlocked. Choose Yes

    • Take note that the device must be unlocked first in order for the service to work

  • Choose your SIM. Click eSIM

  • To proceed in the next step, you need to make sure of the following:

    • Strong Wi-Fi connection

    • Your device is running on the latest OS and has a working camera

    • Hit continue

  • For iOS: Go to Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan

  • For Android: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Add SIM

  • Scan the QR code. If you are using your device - you can use this link as your reference

  • Follow the instructions on screen to install

Step 4: Choose Where your Contribution Goes

  • Choose where your contribution will go. Choose 1 from the available benefactors from the drop down and hit Continue

Congratulations! Your eSIM is now activated 🎉

I want to activate my eSIM with my OLD NUMBER

Prepare your account details for transfer. You can contact your previous carrier to get these details, or visit the link below to get your Account Number and Transfer PIN

NOTE: If you are porting in from a Family Plan, make sure to move the sub-lines first and port the primary line or Billing Responsible Party (BRP) last. This helps avoid any conflicts during the process. If the primary line or BRP is moved first, you may encounter issues porting the remaining lines from your current carrier.

Step 1: Start Activation

  • Your dashboard will prompt to start activating your line - please click Start Activation

  • Confirm your service address. Please note that this must be a valid U.S. Address

Step 2: Initiate the transfer

  • Choose "I want to transfer my number to Collegiate Mobile"

  • Enter all the details needed. Make sure to review before submitting to ensure smooth transfer.

  • Quick Note: Make sure your service ZIP code matches the one on your account with your previous carrier, as this is required for number transfers.

    • Phone Number

    • ZIP Code

    • Previous Carrier

    • Account Number

    • Transfer PIN

  • A temporary line will be generated. You will be notified once the transfer is complete.

  • To activate eSIM click "Continue to connect your device"

Step 3: Install eSIM

  • System will ask you to choose your SIM. Choose eSIM

  • A prompt will show to make sure that have the following:

    • Strong Wi-Fi connection

    • Your device is running on the latest OS and has a working camera

    • Hit continue

  • For iOS: Go to Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan

  • For Android: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Add SIM

  • Scan the QR code

  • Follow the instructions on screen to install

Step 4: Choose Where your Contribution Goes

  • Choose where your contribution will go. Choose 1 from the available benefactors from the drop down and hit Continue

Congratulations! Your eSIM is now activated 🎉

New Activation Flow

Step 1: Sign Up by visiting your school's Collegiate Mobile.

See the full list here. Based on the category (Student, Employee or Fan) choose your plan.

Step 2: Choose your SIM

Select your preferred activation method

  • Digital SIM - activate instantly with QR code

  • Physical SIM - delivered free of charge (3-5 business days)

  • Not sure if your device supports eSIM? Click the “Not Sure” tab to check your device compatibility. It will let you know which SIM option you should choose

Step 3: Choose your Contribution will go

Select from the choices where your "Giveback" will go.

  • Athletics Funds

  • Scholarship Funds

  • Student Funds

Step 4: Checkout & Payment

Enter your email address. Enter your card details and hit subscribe. Do not close that window yet.

  • For Student and Employee - please you’re your university email address

  • For Fan and Alumni - your free to use whatever email address you want

Please check your email. If you haven’t received it within 5 minutes, go back to the portal and click “Help with your order.” This will allow you to generate another activation link using the same email address you entered.

  • From your email, please click “Complete Account Setup.” It will redirect you to a page where you can complete your details.

Step 5: Activation

I want to activate my eSIM using a new number
